The Telethons have existed in some form since 2004. They originally started as an antifolk-inspired duo in Flanders, NJ consisting of John Mulcahy (guitar/vocals) and Mark Deocampo (drums, yelling). After Deocampo's departure in 2009, the Telethons evolved into a power rock trio with the addition of John Van Atta (bass/vocals) and Doug Johnson (drums, yelling).
